Ok, I have been in Philadelphia for the past 4 weeks, Mon-Thurs. I have never been away from home this much in my life, so, of course, I was very apprehensive about staying away.

This hotel was amazing! The service at the front desk, Ernest, and the room service, Dinh. Lovely, extraordinary people that truly took the time. Each week, I would come back and they remembered me. The rooms are nicely appointed. Duvet's, w/ flat screen, marble bath's, clean....

Rittenhouse Square is right around the corner. The restaurant downstairs, Tavern 17 was great after a hard days work, excellent prices. The Prime Rib was nice for Happy Hour. The Coffee Bean is also downstairs to get things going in the morning!

Couldn't have asked for better! I love it and I will continue to come back....did I mention the great workout room w/ green apples in the morning. Aerobice equipment that is current and working properly. Weights, too.

I can only add to the comments of others complimenting the service. When we checked in, we asked for a room with two beds even though the special internet rate entitled us only to a king bed. When the receptionist discovered there were no more regular rooms with two beds, she gave us a free upgrade to a concierge floor room with two beds. The parking garage valet always had our car ready for us when we gave them 10 minutes notice. When we checked out, we informed the receptionist that two of the lights in the bathroom were burned out and that the AC seemed a bit noisy. She comped us half the price of the room even though I explained that I was only giving her this info so the staff could fix the room for the next guest. If it had really bothered me, I would have reported it earlier. I had no problem sleeping despite the AC. Nonetheless, she insisted on the lower rate, off an already highly discounted rate.

My five star rating of the Warwick is not based just on the upgrades and discounts we received. It also has very nice rooms and a nice restaurant with very reasonable prices given the quality. Our room was tastefully decorated, had very comfortable beds, and included all the amenities one would expect from a Radisson. The hotel is just one block off Rittenhouse Square, a wonderful neighborhood for walking, shops, and restaurants. We liked the hotel so much that we went back three weeks later. The AC in that room was much quieter, so the first room AC was probably not the norm.

“Simply Perfect”

Radisson Plaza-Warwick Hotel Philadelphia

I booked this hotel on Priceline for mere $65/night for Labor Day wknd, and I was kind of afraid that it was too good to be true. I was pleasantly surprised that the hotel is in a 'good' part of downtown, conveniently close to all major tourist attractions. Lobby is spectacular, rooms are clean and good size, although the sleep number beds are a gimmick. Checkin process was quick and easy. I showed my gold points rewards card and was given an access to the guest lounge, that included free full breakfast, and free reception w/ drinks and deserts in the evening. The hotel charges $30+tax/night for parking, but there are parking garages on Locust street that charge less than that. I highly recommend this hotel, even if it costs more than I paid for it.

“Loved the Radisson”

Radisson Plaza-Warwick Hotel Philadelphia

Aug 28, 2008

I loved the Radisson-Warwick. I could see it was a older hotel, but the modern additions were welcome: the slate looking bathroom floor tiles and bathtub tiles were nice-- made the room look bigger. Other compliments in the room were the marble looking countertop in the bathroom, the closet with enough room for two large suitcases, the mirror in the bathroom and the sleep number king size bed was heavenly.

Flat screen TVs should be a standard in hotel rooms, so I appreciated the flat screen TV at the Radisson.

Room service was quick and I can recommend the turkey burger sliders, the chocolate trio waffles, apple sausage, the dinner menu chicken, the Caesar Salad with steak added and the frites (fries).

On another food note: a downtown soul food place delivered to the Radisson (can't remember the restaurant name but it is in the phonebook's yellow pages under delivery/take-out restaurants). There was a long wait time in the two instances that I ordered the food, but when it arrived it was amazing. I had the ribs with mac and cheese (to die for), potato salad (great as well), comes with corn bread. Second time I had the pork chops, but I ordered the turkey chops. It was doused in gravy with cornbread and the above side items. Side order of say 4 fried chicken wings. It was all amazing. Good stuff.

So back to the Radisson...
I used the computer in the lobby business center for free internet access to check out places I wanted to go and the lobby was always bustling with people.

Catching a cab at the front of the hotel was very convenient, no waiting. Bellmen and doormen provided service with a smile.

Overall my stay was very comfortable.

Our stay at the Radisson was great, especially the service, it was incredible. My family and I went to Philadelphia for a few days and we had a wonderful time. We were greeted by the staff who welcomed us with sincere smiles and open arms. The staff (Hazel, Kileed, Ed, Mike and Leroy) was very nice and helpful. The vending machine on our floor was out of order, but they went to the celebrity floor and gave us complimentary drinks. They gave us great advice on what to see and where to eat during our stay and every place that we went to was good.

The rooms were large and nicely decorated. My family and I reserved four rooms (at $109 a day). Each room had a large screen television, a sofa bed and a comfortable sleep number bed. My room did not have a refrigerator, but all I had to do was ask and it was delivered within ten minutes. The hotel is in a great location. It is in walking distance to many restaurants, shopping stores and historical must sees. My family and I plan to return to Philadelphia soon, and when we do, the Radisson will be our only choice for a place to stay.
