After reading prior reviews, we were a bit concerned. Enough so that we sent a note to Hilton asking about this hotel's quality. We got a response from Hilton and the Embassy Phila Airport saying all renovations were done and the place was in great shape.
We checked in on Friday 8/29 for a one night stay (leaving the car for a week while we were away) for $140. The lobby (and all common areas) show no signs of work underway and everything looked great. We could find no faults at all. There is huge indoor fish pond, and in addition to the fish, there are 8 mallard ducks living in the lobby pond (which was spotless).
Our room was in very good shape and clean. No complaints at all.
Our only disappointment was that breakfast on Saturdays does not start until 7:30AM and we needed to be on the 7:30 shuttle at the latest or we might have missed our flight. But, we were told not to worry!
We arrived in the lobby around 7:15 and left our bags by the desk saying we were going to try to grab something and be back for the 7:30 shuttle. One employee said he was the shuttle driver and that he would wait for us so we could get something. We ran to the restaurant where one of the cooks heard me telling someone we were in a hurry. He also heard my wife say scrambled eggs and bacon would be fine as it would be quick. He said "I've got eggs and bacon ready now if you want". Wow, shutlle waiting for us, breakfast early, these people really wanted to help us out!!!
All staff seemed eager to please, including Friday night's happy hour servers who gave us great friendly service.
We highly recommend this hotel and will certainly make it our place to stay when in the area. It was in great shape, and the employees know the meaning of hospitality!
