I spent a short week there attending for a medical comference. The hotel is well situated although some big building process on Race Street (avoid this side of the building), but very close to the center. Clean and comfortable rooms, well furnished breakfast, quiet, nice staff. The beds are particularly comfortable. A good and nice place to stay for a business trip, with a very afordable price.

Was here on business. Is good for just your basics. Was clean and fairly comfortable. Nothing too spectacular. Would stay elsewhere if this was not booked for me. Staff was friendly enough. There is nothing good around to walk to if you are looking for some place to go in the evening. I think there are better choices in Philly.

The Hampton Inn Philadelphia Convention Center is located in Center City Philadelphia. If you are familiar with Philadelphia, you know that it is not like NY and has a different atmosphere. Attractions as well as places to eat are scattered all over the city. We are within 5 blocks of all the Historical Attractions, two blocks from Maggianos, the Melting Pot, Chilis, Field House Sports bar and Hard Rock Cafe as well as China Town. 5-10 blocks from the Theater District, Midtown Village as well as The Gallery and the largest Macy's for shopping. If you stay in a City, walking to" things to do" comes with the territory. Experience Philadelphia, to get your historical fix and stay at the Hampton...your satisfaction is guaranteed!

All Staff were pleasant and extremely helpful. The cleanliness of the room was the main problem, definately needed a good hoover and both the valances were soiled yak, thankfully, nothing we actually had to sleep on or next too. On the second night of our stay the fire alarm went off at 3am and despite being allowed back inside the hotel, the staff did not/could not disarm this verbal alerting/alarm from blaring for a further hour into the rooms. The only saving grace of that issue for me is that thankfully they had a successful fire procedure in place,

None the less the positives are the hotel is in a reasonably central location, close to the main historic attractions, i.e Liberty Bell Centre, Independence Hall, also within short walking distance of Reading Terminal market, Chinatown and various shops and good sized mall. We went for a wonderful italian meal at Maggios Little Italy on Filbert Street, but the portions are huge and incredibly over facing (we were ignorant of the fact these portions are apparently mean't for sharing). Definately go to South street, for Jim's Philly Cheesesteaks - really are delicious.

Even though we never heard any building work during our stay, there is currently a large building development taking place right in front of this hotel, and it is fenced all the way up next to the convention centre, if out later at night I would strongly recommend getting a cab, unless you are part of a large group, as this stretch seems long and isolated, as is Race Street, which leads to Chinatown.

This Hampton is directly across from the rear side of the Philadelphia Convention Center. Walk a block and you are at its main entrance and right by Reading Terminal Market. All the historical sites are within walking distance as is plenty of shopping and restaurants. Valet parking is $20/day. Right now hotel pricing might be favorable as the convention center is expanding so there is a large empty lot across from the hotel. I would expect construction will be starting soon. While not picturesque, the benefits of the hotel may still make your stay worth it. The rooms and amenities are typical Hampton. The staff is very friendly. For a hotel in downtown Philly and from a price standpoint my guess is the Hampton would be hard to beat.

Top notch all the way around. Suite was big, clean & comfortable and included a small fridge & microwave. Bed was the most comfortable I've ever slept in at a hotel. Staff very friendly, Free hot breakfast very nice, kids had plenty to eat. 4 computers with free internet access on lower floor near pool/hot tub/exercise room.
Parking is at a public lot a block up and across the street for $20/day. Location is across from the Convention Center, on the edge of China Town, walking distance to most major attractions (Indep Hall, Liberty Bell, Constitution Center, US Mint, City Hall, Reading Terminal). You really can't do better for a reasonably priced suite, highly recommend.
