“A Perfect Experience at the Westin”

Westin Philadelphia

Aug 18, 2008

The service at this Westin is excellent. From the moment we arrived the staff was courteous and helpful. The valet staff and front desk staff were all eager to assist and were all smiles. In fact any time I passed a staff member I received a "hello" or "good evening."

The hotel itself was super clean, and very nicely decorated. The lobby had many little lit candles and flowers, it made the place smell great. The lobby bar area is a nicely done as well with a flat screen TV and lots of couches and chairs to sit on.

Front desk staff asked about our reason for visiting (special occasion, etc..) and once they heard we were there for an art event they immediately switched us to the "uwishunu" room. I have to say this is one of coolest hotel rooms I've ever stayed in. It was designed by all local Philly area artists and it is one of a kind.

We only called the front desk one time for toiletries and they were brought up to our room immediately. I can't say enough about the professionalism of the staff here.

Our room itself was spotless and everything worked properly. One robe was provided, as well as an iron and hair dryer. We also had a chess board, flat screen TV and some very unique but functional lighting because of the special room we had.

The location of the hotel is in the heart of Philly and is a very nice area. Overall, I was impressed... a great stay at this hotel.

Stayed here 8/15/08, I am a Starwood member and prefer their properties. I had stayed here a few years back when this was a Ritz Carlton property and was hoping for major improvements.

Front desk people friendly and helpful, easy check in and check out. Only complaint was that I was given a low floor (4) with a view of roof, but I did not ask for anything better and I got a reasonable rate, so no complaints.

Room clean and comfortable, bed was great. Bath also nice but overall room/bath not as nice or as spacious as some other Westin properties I have experienced.

Hotel is right in center city, close to courts, business and Walnut Street shopping and eateries but parking will cost you.

Only complaint is valet staff (3) virtually ignored us on every entry and exit from property; however, this is one of the better center city hotels.

Got a great deal on Priceline for an overnight at the Westin. The hotel was beautiful inside and out with marble floors, upscale furnishings, and fresh flowers. Everyone from the valet attendant to the concierge were friendly and eager to offer assistance. The room was spacious and well appointed. The beds were wonderful with luxurious linens and ample pillows. We had a great time in Philly and couldn't have been more pleased with our accomidations!

“Very Nice”

My family recently stayed at the Westin during a two-day trip to Philadelphia. I had originally booked a Marriott property for the trip. At the last minute, we had to change our days around and Marriott had no rooms available, so I took a chance and tried Hotwire. We ended up at the Westin. The Westin was great. Our room was very nice and the beds were very, very comfortable. The location is near the Convention Center and not too far from Reading Terminal Market. We found Philadelphia to be a very walkable city, and walking the distance from the hotel to the historic district was no problem at all. We usually stay at Marriott properties when we travel, so I'm glad we had the opportunity to try another brand. Based on this experience, I would definitely be open to other Westin hotels.

This hotel is located near Center City close to shops, restaurants, bars, attractions and public transportation. The staff was very helpful and friendly. If you are driving, please look for a parking garage one or two blocks from the hotel and park there. The hotel has parking, however, the prices are very high. The room was very nice and super clean. Love the bed!!! I highly recommend this hotel.
