“Nice budget hotel near Philly”

We stayed here for 3 nights during the 4th of July. We got an online offer staying 3 night 3rd night free so it was a amazingly good deal. I was very surprised when I first got to the hotel. I had much lower expectation of the hotel so when I saw a bright and spacious lobby and reception area I felt quite impressed. Their website said they had started the renovation many months ago and I thought by the time we got there it was probably all done. Some guest room doors were still being painted. However we weren't disturbed by the fume from inside our room. The hotel seems to identify themselves with more modern design. The toiletry was very nice. So here's the summary of my review:

Pros: 15-min drive to downtown Philly, 10 to University district--nice decor--fairly clean overall--quiet even though it sits right off of the interstates--amazing deal for special rate.

Cons: fume in hallway from paint-- $6/day parking--there's only 1 restaurant nearby(not walkable).

“Great Room... needs some upgrades though”

The room was a breath of fresh air from the the other Philly hotel we stayed at but the shade fell on my foot within the first 10 minutes of being there.. then the air condition was REALLY loud, and the hook on the back of the door fell off as well. So basically aside from that it was great. it was clean and comfortable... The drawback food wise is there is nothing to eat nearby that is not the Hotel restaurant. It was delish at Relish, and Tracy the bartender/waitress was DELIGHTFUL, but it was rather pricey. We had no choice so we did the best we could.

The front desk staff was VERY responsive and polite. They even arranged for a late checkout for my daughter and I. We REALLY appreciated that!!

My wife and I stayed for 2 nights in June, 2008. The entire staff was very friendly and very helpful. The room was amazing! The bed was very comfortable. If we ever travel to Philly again, we would most certainly stay again.

“Good airport hotel”

The Four Points meets all the expectations for an overnight stay. The rooms are basic but they are clean and roomy.
There is a single restaurant at the hotel, which makes the hotel not so much viable for longer stays. There aren't any restaurants close by, and downtown Philadelphia is about a 20-25 minute drive. Therefore I'd think twice for extended stays.
Considering the price, this hotel is a good value for what it offers.

“Cheap and cheerless”

Four Points Philadelphia Airport

May 21, 2008

If I had to describe a hotel as a colour, this hotel would be "beige".

Everything was distinctly average. The fact that Delta had a load of staff staying here on a stop-over should tell you everything that you need to know about this place, i.e. that it is is cheap, no-frills and close to the airport.

The bedroom was clean, the corridors and rest of the hotel not so. And don't bank on getting food here. The kitchen has the basic of meals and the one thing that did appeal to me, the soup, was served in a bowl that was covered in dried on food underneath the rim.

I simply don't know why you would stay here by choice. This is somewhere you crash if you need to book somewhere in a hurry or your car has broken down right outside the entrance in the pouring rain at 2am.

Thank goodness it was only one evening.
