“Good airport hotel”

The Four Points meets all the expectations for an overnight stay. The rooms are basic but they are clean and roomy.
There is a single restaurant at the hotel, which makes the hotel not so much viable for longer stays. There aren't any restaurants close by, and downtown Philadelphia is about a 20-25 minute drive. Therefore I'd think twice for extended stays.
Considering the price, this hotel is a good value for what it offers.

“Cheap and cheerless”

Four Points Philadelphia Airport

May 21, 2008

If I had to describe a hotel as a colour, this hotel would be "beige".

Everything was distinctly average. The fact that Delta had a load of staff staying here on a stop-over should tell you everything that you need to know about this place, i.e. that it is is cheap, no-frills and close to the airport.

The bedroom was clean, the corridors and rest of the hotel not so. And don't bank on getting food here. The kitchen has the basic of meals and the one thing that did appeal to me, the soup, was served in a bowl that was covered in dried on food underneath the rim.

I simply don't know why you would stay here by choice. This is somewhere you crash if you need to book somewhere in a hurry or your car has broken down right outside the entrance in the pouring rain at 2am.

Thank goodness it was only one evening.

“New FAce”

Four Points Philadelphia Airport

When I got there I ws nervous as I usually book at the Sheraton Suties next door. However, wow this hotel also got a face lift. It became I would say one of the nicer hotels in the PHL airport area. Waht a great place to stay. So quaint and actually I like to call it a "hidden secret" in the area. I highly recommend this hotel

We stayed here because we had an early flight the next morning and they have a "stay and fly" parking package that allows you to park there for a week if you stay the night. We thought the hotel was very clean and comfortable, though it's going through some renovations and the lobby area is a bit of a mess. The room was small but clean and quiet. (No bugs, no noises... it did smell a little smoky, but if people smoke in the non-smoking rooms, I don't know what the hotel can do about it...) We had burgers in the hotel lounge, which were surprisingly good. For an extended stay, I'd recommend the Sheraton Suites, but for a short stopover, this was nice for the price.

I needed a place to stay for an assignment in Ridley Park. As the hotel was about 15 minutes away and close to the Airport, it was a good choice.

The Hotel is in the same complex as the Sheraton Suites and shares the shuttle to/from the Airport. The staff is extremely pleasant and offer excellent service. I would rate them as the best feature of the hotel.

The room was OK but in need of some refreshing besides the new beds which were excellent. The room was on the small size with two double beds. The rest of the furniture was somewhat worn but completely adequate for my purposes. Some minor rust on the sink and towel rack was evident but not really objectionable. I did note the the cover on the heating/cooling wall unit was loose but it performed well.

I did not use the hotel bar or restaurant but they appeared nice and well appointed. There was a computer in the lobby with high speed internet access for the guests in addition to free high speed access in the room.

Since I only used the room for sleeping and showering, it was acceptable. If I was in the room for more time during the day, it might have been less attractive.

A final note, they were repaving the parking lot making for a short walk while I was there. I believe it is now complete.
