Alexander inn is in a great location for downtown Philly. The Inn is in a busy area but the rooms are totally silent which is great. Breakfast is a cold continental buffet style and there is always plenty of food.

The location means that once you have arrived you dont need a car. The Inn do point you to a specific parking lot as they then provide you with reduced rate parking.

Plenty of restuarants within 5 mins walking. The shops in downtown Philly are also only 5 mins away.

If you want to visit the historic town its only a 10-15 minute walk or you can catch the Philly Flash and use it as much as you want for a whole day for only $5

This hotel has customer service down to a science. Every one was super nice and helpful.

The hotel is very much a boutique hotel, rooms are small but very clean. The complimentary breakfast was just perfect. Location fantastic!

(But stay away from Mixto right around the corner -- horrible experience there with an amazingly rude waitress. She could learn something from the guys at the Alexander Inn!)

The Alexander Inn is a wonderful hotel!
-The location is perfect. Walking distance to the historic sights, Rittenhouse shopping, Antique Row and theaters.
-The staff is extremely helpful. They even offered to hold our luggage after we checked out so we could tour the city uncumbered.
-There is a tasty breakfast in the morning, and free fruit throughout the day. The room was clean and spacious. There is also 24-hr gym and free internet.

We absolutely loved this hotel and would stay again if we travel back to Philly.

My husband and I enjoyed a week's stay in Philly. I hadn't been there in 30 years. Alexander Inn was a great boutique to stay in. Staff was excellent with directions and information on the city. Great fresh fruit and pastries available 24 hours. Wide variety for breakfast. Neat clean rooms and great housekeeping service. We were able to leave our luggage with the hotel, since we had a late night flight and didn't have to drag it all over town. We went to NYC(by Mega Bus) and Atlantic City by train. Spent many hours walking the city. It was clean and easy to navigate from the hotel. We felt safe walking the streets late at night. Great theater, also. Philly has so much to offer and you can get to so many places within 1-2 hours time. Rick's Philly Steaks on South Street are the best and the Pizza Palace just a few blocks toward town was excellent. We will return in the future and stay at the Alexander again. Kudos to the staff!!
