Arrived Monday evening around 7:20 - Gold Card line was packed and it took a full 30 minutes to get our room.
Marina Luxury room was okay but kinda no frills aside from the big flat screen TV. Positives - in-room coffee-maker, in-room refrigerator. Negatives - No ice container in the room, no safe in the room, no carpeting on the floor, very slow draining shower, what would normally have been a great view was obstructed by a mesh type material that was over the windows onto which they project images at night.
Waterfront Buffet - normally $30/person but we had a buy-one, get one coupon. Wonderful selection of delicious food - almost too many choices to take-in at one setting. Highly recommended.
Although it was never mentioned in any literature or on any signage or by anyone, if you're a Gold Card member and you park in the self-park garage, show your guest card as you exit and you won't have to pay the $5 fee.
There are walking paths from Harrah's to both Trump Marina (10 minute walk) and the Borgata (30 minute walk unless you take a shortcut through the empty field).
Harrah's free shuttle service to Bally's, Caesar's and Showboat was convenient and hassle-free. Inexpensive place to eat right off the Boardwalk on St. James Place was the Irish Pub - great food and drink. Their lunch special is a bowl of soup and a full sandwich for $2.50! (soup and sandwich selection changes daily)
If you go shopping at The Pier Shops at Caesars or The Walk outlets downtown, be sure and stop at the management desk/office to obtain a coupon booklet good for many shops at each location. Warning, though, if you shop at Lush (Pier Shops at Caesars), the discount is only applicable on purchases over $50 - even though it didn't say that in the discount booklet, the Lush manager on duty wouldn't give us a discount since our total was less than $50. We left our merchandise on the counter and they lost a sale.
