Me and my wife loved the hospitality of the hostess who served the breakfast and offers useful information. We found here a quiet and intimate place and an excellent service.
We also liked the Venetian style of the furniture:)
Next time when we come back to Venice, it's sure we'll reserve the same hotel.

Guest House Piccolo is a lovely place to stay. We arrived at Hotel Piccolo which you can't miss when getting of the vaporeti bus and were checked in by Mateo. It was so nice being greeted by a friendly face. Beata then arrived and took us to her Guest House which is a very short walk away. Again it was soooo nice being greeted by a friendly face. The rooms are goregeously decorated in Ventian style and the shower was lovely and the bed very comfortable. Beata was so friendly that when we bumped into her a few times when we were out walking (and had got lost!) she went out of her way to show us shortcuts and introduced us to a few local resturants and bar. Breakfast was cosy and served by Beata herself. I would definitely recommend this hotel and as soon as I can afford to go back on another trip to Venice this would be where I would want stay. It wasn't far from restaurants and only a 10min walk to the square.

My husband and I just returned from a wonderful stay in Venice. The Piccolo Vecellio is about a 15 minute walk from St. Mark's Square and the Rialto, and being just a bit off the beaten path made a huge difference in our experience in Venice. We loved staying in an area that felt like a real neighborhood as opposed to a tourist Disneyland, though it still had plenty of great nooks and crannies to explore (as well as some more "local" restaurants). The location is also convenient - just two stops by water bus from the airport.

We found Beata to be an impeccable and charming hostess; having breakfast with her in the mornings was always a highlight, and she is full of helpful advice and entertaining stories.

If you prefer lodging with a personal touch and like seeing a city from a local's perspective, the Piccolo Vecellio is for you.

The Piccolo guest house was a very pleasant place to stay. It is a short walk from the Hotel Vecellio and is in a restored house and very nicely decorated! Our room on the first floor was a pretty good size compared to others we've stayed in. Beata is a wonderful host and provides good advice on what to see and where to eat.
