We were unable to sample the restaurant but the Mexican Bar was so cute and the Nachos were some of the best we've eaten. We live in California so we know nachos!!! If we ever get back to PV that will be our first destination. Thank you, Troy, for such a wonderful addition to the enjoyment of our cruise.

A beautiful view overlooking the ocean from the 3rd floor, open air restaurant. Great music in the background, colorful decor, friendly staff and owner (Troy) and $1. drinks. The best deal in Puerto Villarta. We can not wait to get back!

We were in p.v. from jan.14 to jan.28 and our friends took us once to cheeky monkeys and we were hooked instantly.The owner troy adds so much charm to the place he is constantly taking care of his cliental making sure everyone is looked after.One night I even witnessed chairs being brought out of his home so ppl could have a seat.There is a snack menu if you wish to eat small. But if you want a full meal it is just a couple steps down to his restaurant valterrazza.If you get the chance go on a sunday it is the only day you can get lasagna, and go early or it will all be gone .We went at least 7 times during our 2 week vacation.Margaritas,beer $1.00 all day.But if you get the chance try there scooby doo they are so good.

Great place to meet new friends,people watch on the malecon,watch the sunset, and listen to the nightly entertainment on the malecon.

The Cheeky Monkey is awesome. Troy, the owner, is a real down to earth guy who is a constant figure around the bar. The dollar beers and margaritas are the best deal I was able to find in town (even with the happy hour "specials" going on). The view is absolutely awesome and the food is pretty good as well. If you go around 9pm you can usually see the fireworks from the Pirate show, if you can find a spot for the sunset it's definitely a polaroid moment, but if you can't make it for either of those, it's a great stop to make from the high prices of Puerto Vallarta and the overwhelming amount of people trying to call you into their establishments. I'm recommending The Cheeky Monkey to everyone I know - and now even those I don't.
