Just returned from two weeks fabulous family holiday combined with son's wedding at Sandals resort nearby.
Accommodation was excellent in the Montpellier block with view of gardens and sea. Our family party consisted of I and my partner, and my daughter, son in law and their two children. We had two similar rooms and the only criticism I have is that two double beds isnt really ideal for a Mum and Dad and two small children but after all not much time is spent in the rooms as there is so much else to do there. The beach is obviously the huge attraction and it is kept scrupulously clean, but with two pools and a lazy river as well most of the time is spent in the water one way and another. There is also a good range of water sports available although having caught the tail end of both hurricanes Gustav and Ike some of them weren't available every day but in no way did it spoil our enjoyment. The staff were very friendly and the "Players" staff work so hard to make sure everyone enjoys themselves, special mention to Roxanne and Juli-Ann who are both delightful and so helpful. The food is excellent and varied, although the Seville restaurant serves nouvelle cuisine food which may not be enough for those with large appetites. We had a great time and although we can't write a review for Sandals they were brilliant with my son's wedding too. We will definitely be holidaying with Beaches and or Sandals again

The sun shined from the time we got there until the time we left, people were nice from begining to end. This is the best vacation we've ever had my family had a great time which we'll all remember for a long time. The first thing that I noticed when I got back home is that I missed the tranquility that you felt there. My family hopes that we have the opportunity to do this more often.

1. Housekeeping responded our requests for crib, pillows, and crib blankets 24-48 hours later. Wait tooooo long! Very frustrating.

2. Kids camp / child care staffs are not friendly, not professional. We are not happy with some of them - didn't feel comfortable & safe to leave our 2 kids with their staffs.

3. Watersports / dive shop staffs are easy to work with. They are willing to give a hand when necessary and are full of energy.

My family and I, who have been to Beaches Turks & Caicos, were given the option to change our vacation because of Hurricane Ike. We were given 2 options: 1) take another week inTurks in the future. 2) go to Beaches Negril. We took the Negril vacation, assuming it would be similar to Turks & Caicos. WE WERE WRONG!!!! The pools were filthy... The staff (95% of them) were miserable!!!! It seemed like it was a bother for them to help us!! Rooms were worn down,,,,,, lots of bugs in the rooms. Staff was very nasty!! Restaurants were not air conditioned! Shows were dissapointing.... I could go on and on but I think I've made my point... On a positive note, if you have never been to Beaches Turks & Caicos you might not be as dissapointed as my family was. IN NO WAY does this resort COMPARE to Turks. If you have the option, choose to hold off your vacation until Turks & Caicos is re-opened!!!!! It is worth the wait!!!!
