Yes according to Flying V who is supposed to have insider information being a pilot! well all i can say after reading some of his posts there are things that dont add up with some of his comments. i personally know a pilot and he certainly would not be flying economy class anywhere, he automatically gets upgrades when ever he or his girlfriend travel, also the choice of hotels in sharm smacks of bottom end of market, my piolt friend will always use hotels that his staff stay in, and these are usually 5*plus.

I personally dont think we are going to see the demise of jet2 in the next week or so, but i will say sorry to FlyingV if i am proved wrong.

There was a post from someone else who said they had got a tip from a tv reporter but i cant remember who that was now

be careful with jet2.com as i have it on good authority from a tv reporter that they along with airitalia will be the next 2 airlines gone in the next week, you have been warned, take care, iwould sit back and wait see what happens before i booked any flights right now.

One other point - I am a pilot but I never said what type of pilot.

I think it can be very hard on a public forum to know what advice from 'insiders' is correct or just rumour.

Previous advice given by suze020 regarding medhotels being part of the same company as medlife hotels was incorrect and she stated she works in the industry so you would take it that the information she was given was correct when infact it wasnt.

I dont think she was calling you a liar, she was just expressing slight doubt over some of your comments, as i may add have others, my brother is a qualified pilot of his own aircraft and works in the aviation industry but would never allude to being a pilot to get a point over, why dont you make it clear to people what type of pilot you are, obviously people are assuming you are a commercial pilot,

Also if you read the rest of her post she said she was willing to apologise should you be proven right and jet2 go bust in the next two weeks, as i am sure will quite a few others
