I stayed at the Onmi Berkshire in Manhattan this spring, and was very excited to stay at another Omni. My room was quite pretty, with large windows, and was booked for only $89 at the hotel website. Stayed here in July 2007. When we booked, hotel web site had not been updated- all pictures were pre- Katrina ! It did not look like that when we arrived ! I know they are trying to remodel. My husband and I stayed at this location on June 23, 2005 for three nights. The hotel's staff were helpful. I made one complaint. I needed clean towels that morning. The hotel was very quiet and the staff was friendly. Location was very good. 2 blocks from the French Quarter, Streetcar, and Harrahs. Rooms were a little on the small side. The pool is not much more that a soaking tub. But there is a hot tub and very nice roof top patio. I would stay here again. more

I've never stayed at a bad Omni before and had pretty high expectations. My husband and I were both disappointed with this hotel. Our room was really small, dark and shockingly dirty. Stayed at the Omni Royal Crescent February 20-23. My wife and I were plesantly pleased with the accomodations after reading some less than stellar reviews on this site. Upon check in we were put in a suite on the 6th floor-Crazy thing about this room--it had no exterior windows....I didn't mind that at all, as I love a dark room... more
