Aside from a slight problem of having to have new automatic key cards made every day, our stay here was the highlight of our holiday. The room provided us with all we needed and more besides - two televisions (bedroom and living area), huge bathroom, mini bar, comfortable sofa, dressing area. The bed was soooo comfortable we didn't want to... more

My husband and I recently stayed at the Sofitel for our 1 year anniversary and were very happy with our stay. Our suite was immaculate and luxurious. The bed was extremely comfortable and the bathroom was spacious. The room was tastefully decorated, and complemented the modern ambience of the hotel. more

I returned to this hotel after 2-1/2 years and was pleased to find that it was still a good place. The interiors are stylish and the TVs are now of the large flat screen type. An evening service replaces any soiled towels and arranges the pillows for sleeping. A restaurant off the lobby provides good food for around $40 without... more

The hotel is good overall - nice boutique feel, nice front desk and concierge employees, clean rooms, comfy beds, good central location. Note: the actual mattress on the bed is really old though - it's just covered by a super thick down pillow top to make it comfy. I was there for a meeting and some of the staff helping... more

Guided by previous reviews, I was expecting something really special from this hotel. We booked one of the "Prestige Suites" directly through Sofitel. These rooms are all at the front of the hotel. We were on Floor 8 of 14. Don't expect much of a view. There is major refurbishing work going on directly opposite the hotel ,so expect noise... more

After a considerable amount of research before traveling, we determined the Sofitel was the best balance of cost, location, reputation and quality. That said, be prepared for an above adequate experience at best. We recently enjoyed a stay at the Sofitel in Manhattan which was exquisite. The Philadelphia location does has the French charm and elegance and we found the... more

This hotel is absolutely fantastic. Everything you'd expect from a top-notch hotel. It is basically just shy of a Four seasons/Ritz type place. But the great thing is that it's about 33% of the cost of a Four Seasons/Ritz. I got a rate of $180 on the hotel website. It's in a great downtown location by Rittenhouse Square with easily... more

Stayed at the Sofitel at the end of July for three nights, while on business in Philly. Hotel is very comfortable and, as has been stated within other reviews, the rooms are spacious with great beds! The walk in showers are also a plus. I had an issue on my first night due to a foul smell in the room... more

I'll start with a small qualifier: I didn't pay for my stay here (work did), so I might be slightly less enthusiastic if I had had to pay the steep rates. Yet, it seems the amenities and service match the price. The service was all top notch. Maids come twice a day, concierge is very friendly and other staff are... more
