We stayed at this hotel from 17-24 Oct, there was 6 of us and we had rooms on the 9th, 10th and 11th floor (eventually). When we were shown to our first room on 7th floor it reaked of smoke and we asked to be moved even though the staff insisted that this was not a smoking room (that room... more

This was our first trip to New York, but we are seasoned travellers, having visited Europe, Central America , the U.S. and Canada and stayed in many hotels with different ratings, but this was one of the worst especially at $1,300, 00 plus for 4 nights. The room was on the 7th floor, it was clean but very small, no... more

We stayed in the Jolly Hotel Madison Towers for four nights, the first night we had a dated room on a lower floor which was adequate but quite small and a bit old fashioned. Then we upgraded to a deluxe room on the 16 floor and the difference was amazing! The room was modern, bright had a huge bathroom, great... more

The main reason we booked this hotel was due to the price! New york city has some of the most expensicve hotels in the US, and we dont really believe in spending thousands for a 2 week visit especially if your just using the hotel room to sleep! However we were really surprised by the quality of the hotel. The... more

Stayed here for one night in Aug, 2008. I chose this hotel because of its proximity to Bryant Park, as we were there to see a concert the next morning. The lobby is fairly welcoming. It seems as though they are slowly renovating the entire hotel. Our room was very small, with really nothing special to report. It was adequate.... more

This hotel was very good for us according to the rate we got from Priceline. Of course, it's New York City in summer and you must know that every room you pay under $200 it's a miracle and you won't find any luxury. The room was very small and old dated, but clean. TV internet was down, and hotel has... more

The hotel is a great price for the location. It is not a terrible place to stay, but it could use some work to bring it up to a top notch place. The bathrooms are beautiful and clean. However, the rugs in the rooms and hallways are absolutely filthy. There were stains all over my room's rug. I cringed every... more

First, you can't beat the location of this hotel. A 5-minute walk south of the hotel brings you to the Empire State Building, and a 5-minute walk north of the hotel brings you to Grand Central, Bryant Park, Times Square, etc. The breakfast at Moonstruck across the street was great, and cheap ($15 for 2). We arrived on July 4th,... more

Front staff not very helpful or attenative at check in. Carpets were not clean outside of the rooms. Heavy smoke odor/stale on the entiere 8th floor for which we stayed on. No one explained the free continental breakfast therefore we incurred over $100.00 room service on something that was suppose to be included into our room price. TV was outdated... more
