We booked our stay at this hotel since we had a busienss conference hosted at the hotel. My wife and I were very satisified with our whole experience. Starting with check in we were greeted in a very friendly manner and helped to our room. All of the hotel staff including front desk people, concierge, bellmen and cleaning people were... more

This hotel was situated in a convenient location.....it was close to the gaslamp quarter, the harbor and of course shopping (horton Plaza) but i have one negative comment....when you look out of your window if you are on the 4th ave side you will see a project house right across the street....it was not a pretty site!!!especially the very shady... more

After extensive research on where to stay in the Gaslamp District of San Diego, I finally decided on the US Grant based on Trip Advisor reviews. The reviewers were right on target. I originally booked one of their 770 square foot Signature Suites. On the eve of my trip I received a call from one of the managers telling me... more

My wife and I stayed at the U.S Grant mid august. We booked through SPG.com for 16,000 points a night. I feel this is a little steep but it is a very nice hotel and close to everything. We are Gold Spg but an upgraded room was not given, although we were given room 635 which faces the courtyard and... more

We stayed here at the US Grant for four nights because we wanted somewhere central in San Diego, not too far from Sea World and the San Diego Zoo. The location turned out to be excellent; it's just next door to the Gaslamp District and about 10-15 minutes' drive to the attractions. Check-in was very good, and valet parking (although... more

This was a business trip and all arrangements were made before arrival. I only stayed for one night. I arrived at 10.30 am in the morning and was given a room even though the check-in time was 3.00pm. Unfortunately, Room # 604, is located next to the elevator shaft and that is very noisy. I would think all the rooms... more

This is a beautiful hotel in a wonderful location and the service was excellent. That said, my experience was marred by 3 things: (1) very thin window panes - and when you are on the third floor overlooking a busy section of downtown and across from a major restaurant, it was pretty disturbing; (2) no bathtubs - after a long... more

Stayed here for work in March 2008. The hotel lobby is stunning post renovation. Checkin was quick and easy. My room was small, but the furntiure was top notch. Beside the king size bed, it fit a desk and tv stand and chair. There wasn't much room to move around otherwise. My room overlooked the courtyard. The bathroom was small,... more

We stayed two nights over the 4th of July holiday weekend at this hotel. One of the shortcomings of this property was obvious when we pulled up to the curb to check in – the valet parking situation is lousy for this grade of hotel. The interior driveway is closed and since the crew was not prepared for the rush... more

The hotel itself is impeccable. Stylish, but not kitchy, opulent but still descreet. Everything about good service and perfect location is true. The room, although may not have been the largest I have seen, was certainly the most pleasant I've stayed in. Design, style, amenities, little touches here and there, it was perfect. I do have a few grudges against... more
