We stayed at the Bullfinch for one night before going on a cruise. We booked it as the price seemed very reasonable for a Boston hotel- we'd stayed the previous week at Jurys - very good but expensive. The Bullfinch was a fantastic hotel, staff were so friendly and helpful, the rooms were great, modern and comfortable with everything you needed.... more

This hotel does not belong in the top 20 hotels by any stretch, although it was clean and relatively inexpensive. The staff is pleasant but inexperienced in customer relations, the rooms are tiny disproportionate to value (price/location), and security is an issue. Key cards work intermittently, the tiny lobby desk was unoccupied on occasion. Could be a nice place if... more

I hesitate to write a poor review based upon 1 bad experience. However, I believe the problem that I experienced speaks volumes about the management of the Bulfinch. I stayed there one night. My initial greeting and the appearance of my room was good. However, the problem began at approximately midnight when a hotel neighbor began knocking on a nearby... more

The Bulfinch has the typical, but well designed austerity of a lot of modern botique hotels. Pros: Service was nice and prompt. Rooms were smaller than expected, but bed was comfortable. Great location! Right in the north end. The food in the restaurant was pretty good too. Big Cons: Shower ran out of hot water! This is seriously unacceptable in... more

I stayed at the Bulfinch in May 2008 for four nights. I found the location of the hotel to be a bit removed from the main action of the town, but close enough to walk to Faniuel Hall and Quincy Market in about five minutes. That was actually a great thing since it seemed to be a bit quieter in... more

The room was everything advertized, clean, comfortable and above average in quality. We booked through hotwire so didn't know what were were getting but were very very pleased. It's not really close to all the attractions (except the Garden) but it was an easy walk to the Italian District and the Market area more

My husband, son and I stayed at the Bulfinch for a weekend. The room was indeed quite small and ours happened to be right next to the elevator. I almost requested another room, but I thought we could survive one weekend and we did, although we heard everything. I attribute that more to oblivious people rather than a problem with... more

I stayed at this hotel with my mother for 3 nights. The staff was very accommodating and very friendly. I would agree with the other reviews that the rooms were on the small side, but they were very nice. The location is nice as well, it's near the TD Banknorth Garden and walking distance to MGH, Beacon Hill, and the... more

The Bullfinch is a perfectly located hotel, right in the middle of the city, and beautifully appointed. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the price was much more reasonable than larger, chain hotels in the area. The rooms were a little on the small side, but that seemed a small price to pay for a great hotel. It even... more

The Bulfinch is an affordable, enjoyable alternative to high-priced chain hotels. Room was small, but comfortable and clean, with a king bed that took most of the space. Staff was pleasant and helpful. Flat Iron restaurant serves breakfast and dinner, with a great tapas menu at night that makes dining at the hotel an attractive alternative to going out. The... more
