Everything you would expect from a new purpose-built city-centre hotel operating under the InterContinental brand. An impressive property, with deluxe accommodation. Stylish, contemporary, and well-equipped bedrooms, with well-designed lighting and modern bathrooms. Hotel locations in San Francisco can be hit and miss - this is certainly better than some, with Powell Street BART station and cable car terminus just a... more

I am totally happy with my descision to stay at this hotel. It truly could not have been any better. The service, overall, was through and unobtrusive, the front desk staff was quick and efficent, the room was great, and the bar and cocktails were top notch. What truly set this property above others was the excellent Concierge staff. Will... more

We recently stayed at the Intercontinental Hotel for 4 nights. It was a great location for shopping the Union Square/Market area and was a few blocks from the trolley. I would request a high floor as there is some street noise, although the lowest floor with rooms on it is still 7 floors up. The valet service is expensive if... more

The hotel is just ok. Not a fabulous 5 star or whatever property that they claim. The front desk waited until the line was 9 people long before calling another agent out to help with check in. The furniture was fine but uninspired, the pool was small, AND WE FOUND SOMEONE ELSE'S SOCKS IN OUR DRAWER WHEN WE UNPACKED!!!! The... more

I called the hotel directly on the day of the stay (a Saturday night). My in laws live across the Bay and we left our daughter with them so that my husband and I could celebrate my birthday in the city. When we arrived at the front desk I was told that we were upgraded. We had an amazing view... more

We stayed at this hotel for the last 5 nights of our honeymoon. Our rate was $279 plus tax. On arrival we were upgraded to a King Exec room on the 10th Floor. Very clean room, comfortable beds. We used room service - good food and prompt service. Unlike an earlier contributor we did have a bath in our bathroom.... more

A very very nice hotel. We stayed here for the final three nights of our Honeymoon in August 2008. On arrival we were congratulated on our recent marriage, upgraded to a corner room on floor 27 with floor to ceiling windows in conjunction with the level of my Priority Club membership, and also given a map and details of the... more

This is a relatively new hotel located in the SOMA area of downtown. The rooms and lobby were fabulous and fully up to Intercontinental expectations. The staff for the most part were very friendly, courtious and helpful especially Roberto who took our bags to the room and was a true ambassador for the hotel. We had a few mistakes on... more
