Ok - so I had just traveled rom the UK, driven from the airport and was tired. From previous reviews I was expecting to be blown away but It was OK. Ideal place for stay with 2 teenagers -after 3 weeks touring it was good to sink into the room comforts of the Orchard. Expensive but very nice. Location near Chinatown, Downtown, and cable cars was terrific. Room was clean and attractive, and the beds were really comfortable. Staff at front desk was very friendly and helpful (for example, on restaurant recommendations). Breakfast was good but not cheap. more

We spent 3 nights at Orchard Garden. Classy hotel, lovely room. Extremely convenient location. Staff are wonderful, very efficient and helpful. Offered lots of tips about places to visit - in San Francisco and nearby. Can't comment re the food as we didn't eat in. more

The hotel was excellent at booking in guaranteeing adjoining rooms for us and our children. Everywhere else we had been on our two week road trip we were simply offered "best efforts" which really doesn't suffice with three children. We found the hotel well located for our requirements.
