We stayed in The Loft for a night, just for a romantic getaway, and it was absolutely perfect! The room was beautiful, clean and comfortable. It was so quiet and peaceful at The Loft, and the panoramic view of the ocean was just incredible. The jacuzzi was very relaxing, and the room had everything we needed for a romantic night... more

We stopped at this property yesterday hoping to have lunch. Of the 3 possibilities for food in Portugal Cove, it appeared to be the most modern. We got a very friendly greeting from the landscape worker outside. When we entered to approach the restaurant we learned that it is open for dinner only, not lunch. The lady who greeted us,... more

Stayed here at Portugal Cove last week. The reception was warm, the room was great and the view was fantastic. I recommend prearranging the breakfast tray, it is generous and good value. If you are on a budget, skip the Atlantis restaurant and walk up the road to Beachy Cove Cafe, their food is "down home", delicious and reasonable more

Me and my boyfriend stayed here and had a great time! It was my first time there, but I would definitely go again! It is a very new property, and the rooms are extremely clean. We stayed in the Dokovie Suite, which was really cozy. There was full kitchen facilities, a queen size bed, a double jacuzzi that faced the... more

We stayed for a week in June, 2007 and loved every minute. The views were spectacular and hated to leave. We had the Harlequin Suite with a wrap around balcony deck. Even the view from the bed was to die for. We saw icebergs, whales, ferries and many birds - - all without leaving our room. Don't know about the... more

Booked the Loft for a romantic one night getaway. Amazing prices for this time of the year. We booked the loft which is located down the road from the front desk and main building. We walked in and were amazed by this room. The view was fantastic, just felt really comfortable and relaxed there. Front desk staff were very friendly... more

Quiet, unique and luxurious. Stayed in the Osprey suite. Amazing view out across the bay to Bell island. Watched the sunset each night from the double jacuzzi bath. The staff are polite, friendly and unintrusive. more

This was my second stay. Top notch service and facilities even in January. Stayed in the Dovekie Suite this time round and was pleasantly surprised overlooking the cove and the roar of the waves. Not as noisy as the signature suites under Atlantica which never ceases to please either. Will be back again. more

My wife and I just returned from a three night trip to Newfoundland. I had read a review that mentioned The Beach House, and how nice it was, and we decided to reserve a room there for the first night, and then stay downtown St. John's for the other two nights. When we arrived at the Beach House, we were... more

We stayed at the Beach House in their Piping Plover Cottage for 3 nights while visiting St. John's .... and felt that we could not have chosen a nicer place to stay! The cottage is nicely decorated, looks like it has been recently updated as everything is quite new, clean, well equipped for cooking, has a separate bedroom....and best of... more
