We've stayed at the Silverado several times for meetings. Each time we've been housed in a condominium apartment. Once we were out on the golf course, a drive from the main 'mansion'. We haven't seen the smaller noiser accomodations some folks have mentioned in reviews here. In my most recent trip, the facility was not busy and service was excellent... more

They put us about 2 miles away from the property, in a condo on the golf course. the accommodations were ok, but we wanted to be on property - close to the pool, restaurants, bar, spa - "no can do!" At $525 a night for what was suppose to be a suite - what a joke. On top of that... more

First time to the Silverado .. my wife and I were both very impressed..excellent room .. beautiful wedding atmosphere .. excellent food at the wedding .. restaurants looked good, but we didn't have a chance to try them .. Wifi so-so .. spa o.k. .. service excellent everywhere. Can't wait to return with more time to tackle the golf course.... more

A couple hundred of us came the the hotel for a conference this month and I was surprised to find out that the "rooms" were actually condos owned by other people. The deco was very dated, the shower/tub was the strangest thing I had ever seen - and I travel 65% of the time! One highlight was that the spa... more

My husband and I stayed at the "Resort" for the weekend and were thoroughly unimpressed. The walls and doors were paper thin. I could hear every time someone nearby flushed a toilet or even left their room. The maid service was terribly loud during the day, waking me up one afternoon because they were screaming to each other from apparently... more

I stayed there to attend a 3-day conference held by my employer. About 200 of us arrived on the same Sunday afternoon between 1 to 5pm. Most of us did not get our rooms immediately. So we were stuck in that small lounge at the lobby area. A number of my co-workers had to wait until 5:30 pm before they... more

My wife and I returned after several years to find the hospitality we remembered was still there. The grounds were beautiful and we liked the atmosphere of the lowrise buildings spread out around the golfcourse. We asked for a special room since it was our anniversary and got Room 763 which overlooked the golfcourse. Furnishings were high quality and we... more

I stayed at the Silverado for two days for a conference in September. I was assigned to a room in the "200's" (I can't remember the exact number, but may have been 273). The room was far from the main building & the bell staff did not offer to assit with luggage. Instead, I was given a map to drive... more

We stayed here for 2 nights and were disappointed, we were in one of the cottages which was basically a very small room. It was a drive from the main building, we asked for some milk for our tea which cost $7! The restaurant staff were very unhelpful when we asked to see a menu, they walked away and the... more

We booked here after the Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn was full and wanted to spend our anniversary (and first night away from our new baby) in wine country. Our main objectives were to go to the spa and lay by the pool and order food/drinks. The Spa was nice, but nothing super special. I had a 25 min massage and... more
