This hotel is within easy walking distance to the LA Convention Center, Staple Center (hockey, basketball) Nokia for concerts. Also the downtown area. Nearby lots of restaurants like Mortons, Palm and Roy's and many many more. The hotel shows a bit of age but not enough that you should be totally put off. It is not a hotel for a... more

This hotel is a fabulous location if you're attending a conference or a basketball game. But I wouldn't stay too long. The staff was very nice - especially when I arrived, the agent gave me great information about the surrounding area and restaurants/shopping. But the rooms were run down and not as clean as I would've expected - especially for... more

I stayed at the Holiday Inn for one night. I was greeted rather curtly by the staff downstairs - a surly young woman handed me the keys and sent me on my way. I went to the room and saw a "do not disturb" sign on the door. I swiped the key nonetheless, and opened it to find a room... more

This hotel, although styled in the 70s style old large Holiday Inns has been updated so that it is much nicer and while not quite on par with the more expensive fancy downtown LA hotels, it is a great alternative for those looking to save some money over the higher prices and for those who are going either to the... more

Location: Ideal for access to downtown LA. Construction works occurring around the hotel which is distruping the surrounding sidewalks. Check In: Our room wasn't ready so we had a fine lunch up the in the restaurant on the 2nd floor. They also held our bags in their storage until 3pm. We had to wait from 2pm till 3pm to get... more

The Good: This is a great location. You're right downtown, just walking distance from the Fashion District and what not. Sure, there is construction going on, and some sidewalks are closed, but that was no big deal for us as we are from NYC. Clean rooms, cute decorating. Free internet, spacious rooms. I felt very safe in the hotel; security... more

The hotel is very average. Location is pretty good. The hotel is clean. The bed isn't all that comfortable. I prefer to have thicker blankets, more fluffy. But it is okay. The hotel restaurant food is okay. Not great selection. Service isn't consistent. Front desk staff was helpful. Nothing exceptionally good about this hotel. Nothing that bad. Good for business.... more

An excellent hotel experience. I stay here whenever I'm attending anything at the Convention Center, Staples or the Nokia. It's directly across the street. Saves driving time and parking hassles at the venues. You can get there in the afternoon, relax, attend your event and walk back for the night and avoid parking lot jams. On-site lounge/bar and restaurant for... more

Stayed here for a meeting at the Wilshire Grand. Thought this wouldn't be a bad walk (1/2 a mile), and it was a closer fit to my company travel policies. With all the construction though, the walk was a little too inconvenient. Other than that, the hotel was fine. The room was very clean, and I received chocolates and water... more
