Just back from Casa Marina Reef having spent a week long holiday in the Dominican just getting away from it all..... Travelled with Thomas Cook and flight and transfers were both ok. Arrived at the resort and check in was fairly straight forward although we were a bit surprised to be handed a TV remote control with our room key... more

The property was nice, the rooms were not so good and they don't offer king size beds for couples. The food was HORRIBLE and 4 of us in our group had food poisoning!!!! Very bad food choices and there is a lapse between lunch and dinner so eat up or you'll starve. There should be available snacks in between meals.... more

My family and I Just spent a week in Casa Marina Reef from July 28 to Aug 4. We have traveled throughout the Dominican republic and stayed at different resorts and this was not one of the best. First, the resort itself was beautiful and it does have beatiful views by the beaches. There are 2 beaches and one is... more

You do get what you pay for but this hotel was a great value stay. Rooms were clean and pleasant, hotel has two great pools and a very enthusiastic entertainments team. Food was good given two main eateries are buffets. Setting is gorgeous and accessible for most of sites on that coast. Guagua to Porto Plato takes about 30 mins... more
