The grounds were lovely and the room was adequate. Many of the pools and hot tubs are open 24 hours which is very nice, especially when the days are so hot. The two unexpected disappointments were 1) despite the fact that the resort tacks a $25/day "resort fee" onto your room, many of the listed "amenities" are somehow not covered... more

I stayed at the Biltmore a couple of weeks ago for 4 nights during a conference. I have to say that I had high hopes that this would be a great place to stay due to it's five star status and the Biltmore name. First, plesae note that you should definitely NOT stay in the section of the hotel at... more

To attach the esteemed “Waldorf-Astoria Biltmore” tag to this supposed resort and spa is shameful. My husband and I spent 5 days there for a conference he was attending (Sept. 9-14, 2008). Even though his company was paying for it and money wasn’t coming out of our pockets, we were still disgusted. The first night’s hotel room was large, but... more

Upon arriving to the hotel at night, I tried to find the room but the little map and signs around the hotel were small and difficult to find. I came to my room, and found lots of mold in my shower. Photos attached. I also noticed the second morning a coffee cup (I don't drink coffee) behind a chair and... more

Bleh!....for what we paid (and there were 7 of us) not an experience worth repeating. We all have multiple mystery charges on our bills. Left a message for their accounting dept to get back to me on that one. This hotel was booked for us to attend a conference and we were scattered in different buildings with varying levels of... more

You've got to be kidding. We have stayed in the best and worst of hotels/motels through the years. We've stayed here 3 times prior to this, but this particular visit was worst I've ever seen in my life. Upon check-in the fellow who was checking our car, was rude beyond belief....we had to literally beg for a cart for our... more

I recently spent 2 nights at the Biltmore as part of a speaking role at a conference. I was restricted to a wheelchair due to multiple foot fractures. Good: The bell staff were excellent and timely whenever needed to push the wheelchair over the very large hotel campus. The architecture and history of the hotel were significant. Bad: The campus... more

Stayed as part of a conference in August - thank god I didn't pay for this experience. On check in my room wasn't ready and although they promised to call me, they never did.- I ended up calling back at 6pm. It took me 20 minutes to find my room in the Catalina section, the signs kept pointing different directions.... more

My wife was lucky enough to have a conference at the hotel and we got an incredible rate (of course it was incredibly hot in August -;). I am a Gold with HHonors and my wife asked about an upgrade upon checkin (I arrived a day later). The front desk clerk told her we could have a 1 br villa... more

We were there early and told the room was not ready, they would call us when it was. We went to the pool and called hours later for them to tell us "oh, your's is the last room to be cleaned, it's not ready yet". We went to our spa treatments (good) and finally got in our room about 5:00.... more
