We stayed 3 nights at the Lamphu Tree July 25-28th 2008 choosing it over a glitzier hotel around Silom or Sukhumvit further south as we only had a couple of nights in Bangkok and wanted to be near the Emerald Buddha etc., but didn’t want to be in the thick of Khao San Road. I had booked directly with the... more

We really enjoyed staying at this hotel. It was an oasis of calm compared to the hetic Bangkok streets! We printed off a map to show the taxi driver where the hotel was, (as it is a new hotel,) and the taxi driver still stopped to ask someone! The taxi driver has to drop you off on the road, and... more

We stayed at the Lamphu Tree House (not the one on Kao Sahn Rd) for 4 nights on our honeymoon in June 2008. The first point i need to make about the hotel is that it is difficult to find, our Taxi driver had no idea where it was. If you ask to get dropped at the Wat Bowonnivet which... more

We booked for a standard room which did not have a television in it but it was clean, bright and they had a nice flat screen TV in the lobby area where guests could catch up on the latest news from around the world. My husband and I printed the map before going to the hotel as recommended by others... more

I booked this hotel after reading the only review available at the time on trip advisor and i am glad i did as it (and all the others since) was spot on! We were there in May, the low season, however apart from the weather being very hot and sticky, and a daily impressive thunderstorm (usually in the evening) we... more

This place was centrally located, but hidden away from the hustle bustle..Staff were very friendlly and helpful... Excellent massage place around the corner and yummy local street vendors in the back streets and along the waterside. Easy to walk to Khao San or down to Democracy Monument and the khlong to catch the boats to other parts of town.. Very... more

1. LOCATION The Boutique Hotel was so new, it was kind of hard to find, but if you tell the taxi driver near Khao San Road and print the map from the internet, they can find it. You would have to walk from Phra Sumen Road over a klong, but it's Ok. Taxi can not drive in front of the... more

I booked this place after seeing the reviews on tripadvisor, and I was so happy I did. What a gem of a place! The location is not inconvenient at all - it is on the same street as Democracy Monument -- you just walk straight up the road and cross the little canal and the place is right there on... more

We discovered this hotel through the Khao San Rd website and decided to take advantage of the special March promotionof 900 baht for a standard room. A bargain in any currency. The pictures looked lovely too and we were not disappointed when we arrived late after a long flight. The taxi driver did have trouble finding this place (he ended... more

Fellow travellers had recommended this place to us and it was just what we needed! This brand new hotel, a short walk from the chaos of Ko San Road, was well thought out. The rooms are big, with lovely beds, sparkling white sheets and a duvet , hot showers, and the breakfast in the morning is big. The staff are... more
