We're just back from a magical week in Morocco and the Dar Silsila was just the perfect final touch to our week there. The owner Jean-Patrick is very kind and helpful. The riad is well decorated, well maintained and the staff very helpful. Great stay in Marrakech! more

We stayed at Dar Silsila for a week in the end of September-beginning of October 2008. When we arrived from the sleepy Essaouira, the bustle when entering the old town in Marrakech (medina) was a bit daunting. But once at the Dar Silsila, we calmed down. The place is indeed an oasis of peace in the Marrakech madness. The suite... more

A very pretty and personable Riad in the heart of Marrakesh, Dar Silsila provided the perfect setting to escape the hustle and bustle of the city. The staff were very friendly, helpful and attentive, with nothing too much trouble. Particular mention must go to Jamal who really helped make our stay so memorable. So helpful and with a beaming smile... more

Dar Silsila was the best riad that we stayed in through our 11 day honeymoon tour of Morocco. It felt homey and comfortable. Their service was exceptional - when I got sick and needed medication the staff went and bought it for me (by the way the medicines prescribed by the lonely planet for upset stomach really work). We had... more

Dar Silsila was a haven of tranquility for us! We were picked up from the airport directly, saving us from getting harassed from all the Moroccan taxi drivers. (Yes, we had to pay for this, but it was a minimal fee, and we were thrilled that it was arranged for us.) We walked through the narrow, smelly streets of Marrakesh... more

We had a fantastic stay at Dar Silsila. The location is absolutely perfect, just a few steps from the Djamaa El Fna. Although it is right in the center of the action, the rooms couldn't be more quiet. In fact, there was a rowdy crew celebrating a wedding anniversary, but Jean-Patrick thoughtfully put us on the other side of the... more

This hotel was beautifully decorated, extreamely clean and peaceful. My husband and I were treated like friends. Jean Patrick and his staff did everything they could to ensure our happiness. They made a lovely vegetarian dinner for us on the patio. Jean even gave me a ride in his car to a restaurant because I had hurt my foot jogging.... more

This place is all about money. It presents itself as a modestly priced riad. But, with all the hidden extras it turns out to be as expensive as one of the deluxe riads, but is not at all in that category. It started when we learned that our airport pick-up would be added to our bill . Then at the... more

I was surprised to receive such a review during a time when I had a few guests. While others guest enjoyed there time at Dar Silsila So, let me comment some of reviewer claim. 1- The overbooking and changing rooms every night. Straight to the point: a) perferct location: 5 min walking distance to main town features b) very friendly staff: we were even able to "borrow" staff to guide us around town (very helpfull) & only costed us 20 Euros c) clean & very nice rooms (typical Marroco Riad design) Besides that, you just need to get used to the thin... more

Dar Silsila serves the best mint tea in the whole Morocco, at least to our taste. The tagine and salad are also our favorites. I would recommend Dar Silsila to anyone interested in visiting Marrakech. The owner, Jean Patrick is a very nice guy who can tell you exactly where to go to eat, spa or what to visit. You... more
