Stayed for two nights. Excellent location for my purposes: just across from the Union Station metro and walking distance to the Capitol building. My husband and I stayed in the Phoenix Park for three nights in August having chosen it on the basis of Trip Advisor reviews. It is certainly very convenient being just steps away from Union Station and a short distance to the Capitol. Having stayed here a number of times previously I thought it a good place for a brief stay with a friend. There's not enough room here to list all the complaints, but the primary one is the rudeness of the wait staff and refusal of a "hostess" to seat us at a table because there were only two of us.... more

We decided on a Saturday to drive down to DC and combine work with pleasure with 2 of our kids. Drove down early Monday. Parking nearby but not part of the hotel. We just returned from our DC trip and had a wonderful time in the capitol. The hotel was cleaned and staffs were friendly and resourceful. It is conveniently located close to Union Station and the Capital building. The Dubliner's is a great place to eat dinner or have a drink at night. I am not recommending it for breakfast however.... more

My wife and I just stayed for two nights at the historic Phoenix Park Hotel and had an absolutely wonderful time celebrating our 10th anniversary. The room was very charming and very clean with lovely furnishings and an incredibly comfortable bed. PPH is in a great location- if you take the metro in to Union Station, exit the station, turn right, walk down to the corner, and Phoenix Park is right there.
