We stayed at Dom Muzyka for 2 nights and had a very pleasant stay. It is part of a music school, hence the name, and is housed in a lovely looking old building. We were in Room 306 which was on the back of the building. Although it overlooked a busy dual carriageway, it was a quiet room when the... more

Just recently visited Gdansk for the first time, & we enjojed our stay in Dom Muzyka! It was ideal for the location of the old town & good reach for sight seeing! The Hotel was very clean & new looking, & the staff were friendly & helpfull! Allthough the suroundings was a little scary at first, we realised it was... more

Booked this hotoel via bookings.com having read decent reviews of it on this and other sites and having never been to gdansk before. The hotel is situated about 10 minutes walk from the main town, and while the area is not the nicest, with a busy road and high rise flats, it is not unsafe and the hotel grounds themselves... more

This pleasant, recently developed hotel was a great find (recommended by a Polish-friend-in-the-know). A short walk from Gdansk's wonderfully scenic Old Town, the hotel is in an elegant 4-storey 19th Century building. Though simply furnished, everything is spotless, perfectly functional and well designed. And it provides great value for money. The restaurant on the lower level is attractive, and provides... more

The Dom Muzyka is a strange "hotel". It occupies two wings of the elegant old music school that is situated two hundred metres to the south east of the old town zone. It doesn't look like a hotel and it doesn't announce itself to the world. It's like arriving at some kind of nineteenth centuruy institution for the confused and... more

Looking forward to a trip to Gdansk I spent a fair bit of time researching the best place to stay in the city. I was swayed by the very positive reviews found on trip advisor and booked the Muzyka. We were disappointed to find the hotel in the shadow of high storey flats which dominated the local area. On the... more

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights after reading good reviews on this website. The hotel is conveniently located, just a 10 minue walk from the Old Town area of Gdansk. We arrived at Gdansk airport and took a taxi there which took about 30 minutes and cost 50 Zloty. I cannot quite put my finger on it, but... more

Excellent little place, full of character and so easy to walk to the old town. Will also provide picnic goodies if you have to leave early (instead of breakfast in the hotel). Bottled water now provided in rooms (free) and a cofee/coke machine in the lobby (new from last winter), as there are no tea/cofee facilities in the rooms. A... more

We couldn't find anything negative to say about this lovely hotel, except not to follow their directions too literally, we did and ended up in a suburb, having to rely on the combined efforts of the entire (non-English speaking) passengers of the bus to find our way! We "splashed out" on a suite (£69 per night including our breakfasts!) and... more

Having recently returned from Gdansk, i have decided to share my experience of my stay at the Dom Muzyka. This is a well situated friendly hotel (400M from the splendid old town), efficiently run by english speaking staff. The breakfast was enjoyable and plentiful. Although the rooms had no bath which i personally prefer, they were clean, spacious and modern.... more
