Just returned from a four night stay at the Ca dei Conti. It is very central and if you use the water bus not too far to walk with suitcases. Ca' dei Conti Hotel, tucked away on a little side canal about 10 minutes walk from Piazza San Marco was absolutely wonderful. It had been a terrible, overnight Delta flight from JFK to Marco Polo Airport. Our hotel looked like a beautiful picture postcard. Our beautiful room, 405, was very big, with elegant furnishings, vaulted wood ceiling, and flat screen tv. Beautiful hotel in Venice on a quite street but close to everything. My husband, 3 kids and myself were very comfortable and the breakfast was delicious. If you stay in Venice, pre book a walking tour with Vatican Tours Inc ([--]). We were led on a 3 hour private walking tour which was a highlight of our trip to Italy. more
