Stayed here twice in past 10 yrs. It was the included hotel on escorted tour. Rooms are too dark; low wattage bulbs in lamps. To read in evening, had to place chair under ceiling light near room door. Not near enough to central Munich for visiting Marienplatz, or Residenz museum. If you prefer chain hotels you won't appreciate this one. I stayed here on the first and last nights of a tour. The rooms were quite different each night but I enjoyed the personality of both. As stated in previous reviews easy access to trains downtown helpful too. more
