Stayed overnight in this hotel upon our arrival in Provence. Woke up to a lovely view of the harbor after a quiet nights sleep on a comfortable bed in an air conditioned room. The room was average european hotel size and attractively appointed. Staff was courteous and helpful. The hotel is a short block from the metro station and the... more
This little hotel is a real surprise! Located by the Old Port, this is where you want to be! Lots of cafes and food just outside the hotel. If you wish to explore the city, just take the metro (just 5 minutes away). With all the hustle-and bustle, the hotel rooms are quite. The hotel room we had is quite... more
The hotel room on the Venere website is nicer than the one we got. They are in the small side and the beds are a little hard. But the location is perfect, they are clean and the service is friendly. Good hair dryer. We opted for just coffee in the morning at a reasonable 1.50 per cup. Do not recommend... more
Hotel Alizé is a no nonsense citytrip hotel. All you need for a short stay is present. A clean room and bathroom. Friendly and helpfull staff. Perfect location at the old harbour to visit the points of interest of this city and to make an unforgettable boat trip to the Calanques. more
We stayed in one of the (cheaper) patio-view rooms and it was very small and dark, although had a very nice shower room. The staff were all excellent and friendly, and I was particularly impressed that they didn't charge us for breakfast on the morning when we didn't bother eating in the hotel (despite having booked it in advance). The... more
Good hotel - great location, excellent value - hotel is of 2 star standard - basic but perfectly comfortable.& very clean. It's better than a lot of the 3 stars in the old port area & about half the price! Great base for exploring the vibrant city of Marseille. more
I had planned to come to Marseille for a romantic weekend to eat lots of bouillabiasse and generally chill out with my beloved. I'd carefully selected Hotel Alize and booked a room as suggested on trip advisor over looking the harbour - what could go wrong ? Well strangely the boyfriend from hell missing his flight because he was too... more
Compared to some of the "3 star" hotels I have stayed in over the last few weeks in Marseille, this 2 star outshines many. Rooms are basic and the bathroom is small, but both are clean, comfortable and practical. I'll be staying here again! more
What can I say about this hotel. It is basic accommodation with beautiful views over the old port of Marseille. Marseille is a hectic city that has a grittiness about it that is in direct contrast to Paris. The beauty of the city's location, as well as its beautiful historic sites are what make this city worth visiting. Hotel Alize... more
