I have stayed at this hotel on a number of occasions as it is close to the ferry terminal. It's ok but a bit basic. Just too far from the city centre to walk, so a taxi is required. It's the kind of place you would stay if on business or as in my case while waiting for the ferry.... more

Taking advantage of a bargain offer on Brittany Ferries (and in need of wine supplies) we chose the Mercure because of its position. Arriving late evening, it was perfect and we were at the hotel minutes after leaving the port.
