I would recommend this hotel for short stays in Paris or for people who require very basic accommodations. The room was clean, the staff was accommodating, and the location was incredible. Granted, the room is small and the surrounding location might be off-putting to some but if you're spending that much time in your hotel in Paris, something is wrong.... more

I stayed here for three nights in the beginning of June 08. I found the rooms very good (there were 2 of us in different rooms), clean and comfortable, apparently newly decorated (clean blue carpets). The staff was helpful and friendly - spoke English and German. The area was safe and well policed, apparently having been 'cleaned up' since I... more

The cleaning-lady is very nice and does what she can in the very badly maintained building, but she is not allowed to change your bed linen and can only give you one little towel every day. You have to share WC with 6-8 rooms, and there is no toilet paper, because as they say in the reception, “people eat it,... more

Hotel was in a semi red light district which has various sex shops all around. It is on a pedestrian street with a lot of bars, so the noise level on the weekends was horrific. Ear plugs, wine, and Benadryl were not enough to soften the noise. We left the hotel at 6:45am Sunday to meet up with a tour... more

This hotel was just great! It was in an excellent location and is brilliant value for money. The hotel was clean and the staff all friendly. The room we were in had a toilet and shower and was very large- much bigger than I was expecting. Overall we had a great time in Paris and everything was so easy to... more

Staff spoke english and was nice. Hotel and rooms tidy and had a great view (bedding was NOT changed on daily basis). Location of the hotel is great!, there are a few sex shops on the same street, but that's what the area is famous for and has tons of history regarding the oldest profession. Positive: 1. The location is... more

Staff spoke english and was ... sort of kind ( you felt as if it was inapropriate to ask for any information, help or small favours). Hotel and rooms tidy, cleand everry day (bedding was changed on daily basis). Location of the hotel is good, alldough there are a few sex shops and sex cinemas on the same street -... more

Let me start by telling you how much the room stunk when you first opened the door to a really stained, old red carpet with the bidet in your face. I believed that the carpet is really old and very dirty, no matter how many times they vacuum. Our bed was small, it made our backs hurt because the coils... more

After spending 6 hours reading reviews about the hotels in Paris, we (me & my wife) finally decided to book this hotel... We were bit apprehensive about the location (sex shops etc etc.)...but on the contrary, after reaching there we thought that Location was its strongest point... We spent 2 nights in this hotel & found the staff very courteous... more

I stayed with a friend for three days in Paris. As we booked not early enough all the insider hotel were fully booked and we got the last room in the Vallee. Our room was in the fifth floor (a steep climb with no elevator). The room is well suited for a dwarf from the 1970s on a budget. :-)... more
