Altough this is not my worst hotel experience in Paris, it was the synthesis of what can go wrong with a hotel room in this city. Very small room, tiny moldy bathroom, A/C & safe in the room didn't work, very noisy location and bad insulation (from outside and hotel noises). We had a smallish room at 180 Euro per night. The bed was good and comfortable and the bathroom fine. There was peeling wallpaper and our bedspread had some unwelcome stains (they changed it). Well, our stay started off pretty well, as they were short of rooms, so upgraded the missus and me for the first night. Our regular room was pretty nice as well though.
