I stayed at Ashling for 5 nights early September 2008. The room was not very well maintained and the bathroom needed to be refurbished. It seems everything is frozen in time while there is construction work to expand the hotel. The biggest deception tough is the location. I was in Dublin for leisure and wanted to discover the city. Well,... more

This hotel is fairly well located for the Guiness Storehouse and Heuston station, it's a good 20 - 25 minutes though to where all the craic is in Dublin's centre. Part of the Bestwestern chain but not one of their better hotels. The food menu is fairly limited and quite pricy, breakfast is buffet style except you don't help yourself... more

I stayed in the Ashling hotel for 2 nights B&B and 1 dinner with my boyfriend. To be honest when I first seen the hotel I was a little disappointed because from the front it didn't look great but it was lovely inside and we had a lovely room that was quite large and had a bath which lately I... more

The hotel is a little hard to find, since it is undergoing a renovation. Look for the blue construction tunnel on Parkgate - the entrance is one street to the north (the direction away from the river), up Arbour Hill. The staff at the reception area were very professional. The area is clean and new-looking, as is the pub/restaurant area... more

The Ashling is undergoing renovations but do not be put off by the external works. Location is easily accessible from the airport, take an Airlink 748 bus (40 minutes €6 each way) to Heuston station. The Ashling is a three minute walk over the Liffey bridge. The hotel is within easy walking distance of the city centre and a tram... more

Ashling is nicely located a short walk from Heuston station, so ideal to get to from the airport, as just hop on airport link bus which takes you to Heuston. Although a lot of renovation work being undertaken at the moment, it did not affect us. Rooms were clean and served the purpose of having all that was required when... more

The hotel was a very hard place to find in Dublin due to poor directions from Best Western and lack of signage on the hotel. As the traffic patterns are a little...challenging in Dublin we got stuck in rush hour traffic when we missed our turn off to the hotel...for an hour with our 22 month old son. When we... more

The Ashling is just 5 mins walk from Heuston station and that is handy. It's about 10 minutes on the Luas(tram) to O'Connell street or possibly a 25 min walk. There are two Luas stops nearby one is MUSEUM and the second is HEUSTON. Luas return cost to Abbey Street (city centre) is €2.80 The area itself looks a bit... more

Like most of the reviews the hotel was fine. It wasnt amazing or great but it wasnt terrible either. It is what you would expect for an average priced hotel. Clean, comfortable and pleasant. Room was back facing and very very quiet! No guests banging doors or large groups making noise. In fact was the quiestes stay I have ever... more

This is a nice, clean and quiet hotel with helpful staff. We got a spacious room, the bathroom was spotless. The hotel lies right next to the wonderful Ryan´s pub. Our only complaints were that there are few places to eat close by, the breakfast is edible but really not good and the moring coffee not drinkable (we ended up... more
