Its a well located hotel with all the usual amenities.Very pleasant staff and spacious lounges. Bedrooms are functional and ours overlooked a dingey lightwell, but very comfortable. Yes the upper floors are a bit of faded elegance but its all clean and well maimtained. Would stay there again more
I paid a return visit to the Gresham for the "All Ireland" weekend. My view has not changed since my previous stay and review a few months earlier. Staff were very attentive, as always, despite being inundated pre- and post- match and the atmosphere was unbelievable! This is a great hotel in a great location and I would have no... more
I made my maiden voyage to Ireland this past summer (08), land of my forefathers. Spent a week in Dublin town, loved the city and its inhabitants. When I planned the trip I booked into The Blooms Hotel in Temple Bar, a great locale but The Blooms is in desperate need of an upgade and I couldn't wait so after... more
I booked The Gresham through their website for a romantic break with my boyfriend. The location was fantastic and I was impressed by the reception area but, on seeing our room, I actually broke down in tears. I stayed in the Gresham hotel in August and must say that it was a pleasant experience. The reception was efficient, the rooms spacious and had everything needed for a business trip Very convenient location and easy to find. Would stay here again when visiting Ireland more
Great location on O'Connell Street. Hotel lobby very nice but the rooms were a bit jaded. A problem with our room on arrival, noisy air conditioning, was rectified very quickly, we moved to the room next door!! Our original room was very dark and could have been a little depressive but the next door one we moved to was a... more
I was spending the night in Dublin because I was photographing an international band at a concert they were playing here. The Gresham Hotel was the only hotel near the venue that wasn't fully booked out..now I know why. When I booked the room online I picked a twin room, I was booking for 3 people (myself, my mom, my... more
Could not fault this hotel. Airport bus stops directly outside. Friendly check-in staff (even given room key 3hrs early when we arrived at 12). Room was ample size & spotless. Had blocked toilet on arrival which was rectified within 1/2 hour of us notifying reception. Breakfast was excellent with a huge selection of hot & cold food & spotlessly clean... more
I was booked into this hotel for a weekend convention. Knowing Dublin well, I was a little hesitant about staying on the northern end of O'Connell street, but in the end that was OK, and there weren't too many undesirables about. I arrived at the hotel around 12.00 hoping to be able to check in (registration for the convention started... more
