For it's location in Central London, the price is very good. However, room we had was not the best, as it had a very strong smell of cats wee in the room. Not the nicest smell to sleep with... Breakfast in the morning smelt good, but didn't fancy risking it, so passed. And then the smell of cats wee came... more

My husband and I spent a long weekend at the end of August in London and decided to stay here (despite some of the bad reviews I read) because of the price. We paid 60 pounds bed and breakfast for 2 people in a double room with shared bathroom, which really isn't bad at all for London. Let me say... more

This is a good place to stay but don't expect the Hilton please. I am from Victoria Canada and took a group of 27 students and 4 adults on a tour of France finishing with 3 days in London. The place is very well located next to Hyde Park ,shopping stores and the TUBE. Very easy to get to where... more

This hotel was a perfect gem! We recently came to London for a friend's 30th birthday and being on a budget needed a place which was affordable. Being from Sheffield, anywhere close to St Pancras was going to be handy, but previous reputation of the King's Cross area plus certain reviews of other hotels meant that finding a hotel within... more

We (me and my elder son) stayed in the basic twin room number 11 in the third top floor for two nights (Friday/Saturday, 23-24/11/2007). The room was small but clean and beds were comfy. We had to share the shower and toilet, however this was no problem at all. Of course there was no lift, remember this is just a... more

We stood there for about a week and all I can say is that this hotel is horrible. It's dirty, tiny and all in all disgusting. There are cockroaches in the rooms and the bathrooms are even worse. My advice for you: Don't stay there. Look for another hotel. We couldn't open our window that's why our room was hot... more

I just had a quick look at the last review before posting this and it looks like 0713London, NYC has reviewed the Apollo Hotel in London (near Queensway), so don't let that put you off this one near Kings Cross! We looked on a few websites to find a basic good value hotel as we were looking for somewhere to... more

Worse than hell... The room was clean, well, I mean the bathroom and the floor because the bed cover was very dirty and had strange stains, the curtains had holes and stains, the walls were as thin as paper so you can hear EVERYTHING the neighbours are saying and doing... The staff was not friendly, the breakfast wasn't that great...... more

All the best hotels according to my budget were fully booked so I looked on tripadvisor and after reading hundreds of reviews, I finally chose the Apollo Hotel. My room was clean, the full English breakfast was served in the basement but it was ok. Apart from that, know that rooms are tiny. Choose the en-suite bathroom (which is more... more

When you pay £45 for a central London Hotel you shouldn't expect the ritz. It was a small room, but I wanted somewhere to sleep, not hold a conference. Perfect location (Kings Cross 1 min down the road). Walls are a bit thin (pray for quiet neighbours). Everything was clean. Breakfast was OK. Staff were very friendly and helpfull. Stayed... more
