The Cavendish London served as a great base and a decent home away from home for a girlie shopping weekend (27-29 Sep). The overall experience was pleasant but fell short of my expectations of a 4* London hotel. We arrived before 10am on Saturday and were able to check in straight away into a Superior Twin on the 14th floor.... more

We used to live in London, so when we came back for a visit we wanted a hotel that was centrally located, close to good tube and bus connections and on a quiet street. The Cavendish delivered on all three. Our only complaint is that our standard room (#713) was the smallest we've ever stayed in. However, it was clean... more

I stayed here in August for a friends Hen Weekend. The staff were helpful and friendly. The rooms we had were a decent size - though not huge. Ask for a room on the higher floors as the views around London are better. We had breakfast at the hotel, which was very nice, with lots to choose from. We also... more

I got a special offer on my room here & therefore other rooms may be better. It was all fine & the staff were perfectly nice...but just not worth the high rating it has on here, or the money you may spend. more

Great experience all 'round. The bed was luxurious with high thread count cotton and plenty of down. Friendly and efficient staff and a great location. I am going back. more

Normally when I go to London I stay in a Travelodge, but this time I thought I'd pay more and stay somewhere upmarket - never thought I'd regreat it so much! The staff on check-in tried to make me pay for an upgrade after paying £180 for my room anyway which turned out to be a rip-off because the room... more

After recently staying at the hotel, I was appalled by the level of service. Particularly as this hotel had been recommended to me by friends who had previously stayed at the hotel. On complaining to the manager he seemed to be disintereseted in anything I had to say. A few points they need to rectify are, there was no hot... more

Stayed recently for my birthday. Stayed previously when it was part of the De Vere Group a while ago & had a really pleaseant time. However now, the staff clearly think they are massive time which is puzzling as while admittedly the location of the hotel is good, the interior (aside from reception) wouldn't look out of out place in... more

We stayed at the Cavendish twice - once at the beginning of our trip and after returning from Paris. I chose the Cavendish based on reviews, price and location. What we paid included breakfast was about right - 138 pounds, but got a standard/classic room. They tried to upsell us to a larger room for 25 pounds, but did not... more
