My hosts at the University of Toronto booked my stay at this hotel. Its major advantage is its proximity to the University, a plus if you are visiting there. Otherwise it is very ordinary, neither bad nor great. Front desk staff were polite, but seemed frazzled and preoccupied with a new computer system they couldn't figure out. I have long... more

Good location, quiet place, helpful staff. One night there was a roudy party in the room next to mine, I called the front desk and they had it stopped within 10 minutes. more

We had four nights at the Holiday Inn and really enjoyed it. The location is excellent in the university area which is vibrant, safe and interesting. We also considered the Courtyard Marriott which rates very well but is in a much busier area. The rooms are your standard three star but clean, quiet and comfortable. The front office staff were... more

We stayed in this hotel for both business and pleasure. The location is terrific, close to everything we wanted. There are playgrounds nearby, a gym you can use through the hotel with a swimming pool, great museums, the university campus and restaurants. We had a great time. The bar and restaurant downstairs were not so great. I would avoid those.... more

I have stayed at the Holiday Inn Midtown about 30 times over the past 5 years and my most recent visit was over the long weekend in early August. I travel to Toronto frequently for both pleasure and business. The location is terrific: close to shopping and the subway, and there are plenty of restaurants to choose from in the... more

Stayed there on friday and Saturday nites in July. The location couldn't have been better- about 2 blocks from the Royal Ontario Museum. 1/2 block from the subway entrance. Plenty of restaurants & shops in the area. University is just south of the hotel (1/2 block). Hotel was clean and comfortable. Only shortcoming is that there is no pool or... more

My husband and I stayed at the Holiday Inn, Midtown which has become a kind of home from home for us in Toronto. This is the most consistently excellent hotel I’ve ever stayed in. The rooms are always comfortable and the staff helpful, knowledgeable and flexible. We arrived separately, my husband on his way back from a mega journey to... more

My colleagues and I stayed at the hotel on a business trip to the University of Toronto which is a short walk away. Although the rooms are a getting a little shabby they are quite spacious. The internet connection in the room was good (and free!). There are two computer terminals in the lobby with printers but these are always... more

Having been to Toronto a number of times in the past, I knew which areas I wanted to stay in - but the challenge was finding a hotel at a good price. The Holiday Inn on Bloor Street did the job perfectly. The reception was OK, the room was OK, but the location was perfect - just 5 or 10... more

We stayed here for three night in sept 07 and found the room to be clean, comfortable and a reasonble size. Being part of a chain it's similar to rooms in any other Holiday Inn. Daily parking fee was $22 - seemed slightly high but the wifi was free in the rooms (and there's a couple of computers for customer... more
