We were very impressed by this hotel. The price was reasonable in comparison to similar hotels that we looked at. The staff was extremely helpful. The rooms were clean. All rooms are suites, so rather large and comfortable. It is a little noisy, but the hotel is in the middle of a large city, so that is to be expected.... more
Stayed 13 nights at the Century Plaza End August/Beg.Sept 2008 and enjoyed the experience - all the staff were professional and friendly. Our room was a corner one on the 18th floor and afforded views down/side of Burrard Street, especially lovely when lights came on over the city at night. Any requests to staff were attended to immediately. The Beyond... more
We stayed on the 28th floor by chance (the lower floors were already booked) and, after reading the negative reviews of the lower floors, I'd say that was a good thing. My wife and I received friendly, attentive service from the hotel staff from the moment we drove in including the bellhop, front desk clerk and concierge (and even the... more
We were given a room on the 18th floor and the so called 'refurbishment, ahdnt reached that floor yet. The rooms are dated, you get to listen to noisy plumbing, and you can hear the guests in the next room, the staff are abrupt and unhelpful and if we had to do it all again, we would definitely NOT stay... more
We were visiting Vancouver for seven days in summer and booked the hotel without breaking the bank!! The One Bedroom suite was spacious for us travelling with 2 children. We appreciated the full kitchen facilities and there is a grocery store nearby. Room had a toaster and kitchen utensils. The balcony allowed us to enjoy some great views. The staffs... more
We stayed at the Century Plaza from July 9th to July 13, 2008. We selected the hotel because it was the only central location where we could book a one bedroom suite with 2 beds in the bedroom and a sleeper sofa in the living room. This was a girl's trip with 3 of us so that combination worked best.... more
We've stayed at the hotel many times in the past, but this time was terrible. Bellmen and restaurant/bar staff are wonderful. That's about it. The rooms are very run down, shower doesn't work properly, bathtub is stained, TV is broken, etc. etc. We booked this months ago and when we checked in we got a room directly over Burrard Street,... more
We had a suite on the 20th floor - actually a very spacious one-bed apartment with good views of the city, and side view of harbour from the balcony. It was great to have all that space at the end of a 3-week trip. The lobby was bright and modern, with an inexpensive cafe. We were told our room had... more
My husband and I stayed at the Century Plaza after taking an Alaskan cruise. We only stayed for one night. It was very pleasant. The lobby is nice, and the restaurant and bar were very trendy and busy. The room, however, looked a little shabby. The door of the bathroom was cracked and peeling and the hallways were dark and... more
