Stayed here 4 nights. We had a signature room on the 6th floor which gave great views of the cruise ship dock as well as the mountains and the helicopter and sea plane take off and landings. Check in was fine and staff were very friendly and helpful, however I do feel the Fairmont is looking a bit tired. The... more

Just returned from a 3 week tour of BC with my husband and 3 year old son. We used the Fairmont as our base whilst in Vancouver and personally believe it is in the best location. There is a lovely pedestrian friendly walk along the sea-wall past the float planes to Stanley Park and all its many wonderful attractions, gas... more

We planned a trip to Canada including a cruise - which was cancelled. As we had booked at Fairmont Waterfront for the start of our holiday we used Fairmonts all the way through our ( rescheduled) trip and can't recommend them highly enough. First off join the Presidents Club - separate checking in queues matter when you are tired and... more

My husband and I booked our trip on Expedia because I wanted to take my parents to Vancouver for my mother's birthday. The rates on Expedia for the two days we were there cost us half the original room rate. However, there is no guarantee on what kind of bed you will get. When my parents arrived the only room... more

Stayed a total of 4 nights. Rooms were not dark (furnishings / carpet), and large windows gave excellent natural light and a feeling of airyness. Room appointments were more than adequate. Bathrooms well appointed and laid out. Desk (Reception) service and assistance was excellent. Concierge assistance was accurate and excellent. Bell desk was good. "Herons" Bar & eating area serves... more

My husband and I spent one night at this hotel after we first arrived in Vancouver. The hotel is in a great part of town - it is right next to Canada Place and walking distance to a lot of the downtown sights and Gastown. The hotel is beautiful and busy. Given how close it is to Canada Place which... more

I booked in for 1 night at the WFC to accommodate a buddy who was passing through town. I had already gotten an amazing rate, but they very kindly reduced it because they blocked me into a Murphy suite (room 1002) - one normally used as a sitting room of a parlour suite, with a bed that folds down from... more

Had 2 x 2 night stays here either side of a cruise. On the first occasion we had a 21st floor room with views over Stanley Park which was fine until the elevators failed for 2.5 hours on the second day. We managed to walk the 21 floors down but had to wait until at least a service lift was... more

we had two very nice stays here in port view rooms. My father had a waterfront room and I have to say I thikn I preferred our view, as there is building work in the other direction. The rooms are spacious - although the room on the higher floor (11) had been refurbished, as compared to the lower room. breakfast... more
