We had a wonderful time at Meson de Capuchinas. Five friends traveling together, we had three rooms. The location is excellent. Everything was very smooth, the rooms lovely, service was attentive, the food excellent, breakfasts great and the employees very honest (money was left in my car and returned to me). We hope to be back soon! more

While staying at the hotel construction work began on the street, creating a lot of dust and mess, and making it difficult to access by car. Two of the nights we stayed there was a barking dog through the night which made sleeping a challenge. Turns out people who live next door chain their pooch up on the roof at... more

Our second stay at a Mexican Boutique Hotel was well beyond satisfactory. The Meson is a centuries old converted convent with atmosphere to burn and an unbeatable location. The Zocalo, heart of the historic district, is three blocks away and the Museo Amparo, the city’s best, is at the end of the block. Everything from the antiques district and flea... more

We stayed at the Meson De Capuchinas for 4 nights for our wedding anniversary. There are so many wonderful things to say about this hotel. We have traveled a lot in Mexico & other countries and enjoy staying in the small boutique hotels. This is one of the finest. The staff is very helpful, friendly & attentive. The host- Angel... more

We stayed here for one Friday night in August. Having had great difficulty booking - they responded to emails very late , if at all- we arrived at about 7.30pm in torrential rain. Their first request was for a credit card impression , which annoyed me, as this is a small boutique hotel where we had pre-paid the rooms. None... more

We took a one week long cooking course with Chef Alonso and his assistant Elisa. The course is very well organized, can be taken by even the newest cook and concentrates on recipes that can readily be used in the home. Chef Alonso is unflappable and good humored. He speaks excellent English but prefers to be precise in his instructions,... more

We went down for the cooking classes and stayed at Capuchinas. We went for dinner one night at Compania and found it to be less desirable than Capuchinas. The cooking classes were FUN, the city tour which was included in the package wonderful. We found Capuchinas to be more sophisticated than its sister, Campania and, although given the opportunity to... more

I just returned from a wonderful, long weekend stay at this incredible boutique hotel. Puebla is a charming Spanish Colonial city and Meson Sacristía de Capuchinas is perfectly located in the historic center of the city. The hotel has superb service, in particular Señor Ubaldo who makes you feel as if you are a special guest in his beautiful colonial... more

The highlight of our stay was the cooking class! We did all 5 days. Chef Alonso is a wonderful teacher. We made a surprising variety of dishes and we now feel confident we can actually prepare these at home! Elisa took great care of us on a daily basis as well - she was our personal concierge and a great... more

My husband and I recently returned from a 2 night stay over New Years at this hotel- originally we were to stay 3 but it was such a terrible experience we left early. first, the concierge confirmed a sunday reservation at a local restaurant before we left the states; however when we went for dinner ,the restaurant was closed and... more
