first night we got there , my wife flushed the tolet and it splashed all over, found the staff very very unfriendly,and not very helpfull,went to the pool every day and never ever were asked if we wanted some thing from the bar, elevator didnt work for alot of the time i diffenitly would not stay there again. more

Tropicana is in a great location--near the gay beach, by restaurants and bars that cater to a diverse population--but is not gay friendly. I suggest booking a condo at Torre Malibu instead--it's just up the hill, you get a LOT more for your money (kitchen, often two bathrooms, good views) and you don't have to put up with the homophobic... more

I stayed at this hotel with my 18 year old daughter and we had a blast. Only downfall is that air conditioning didn't work in our room.
