Great place, awesome location (don’t let it not being on the beach fool you) You are so close to the market and restaurants, the hotel is just in a very convenient location I thought. Also where you catch the Taino beach ferry is right beside the resort as well. Few things I wish they had were dvd players in the... more

Stayed here for four nights at the end of September, which is a very slow time of year in Grand Bahama. On the one hand, fewer "bad" tourists around, mostly people stopping in the area off boats and a few odd characters straight out of central casting. The biggest negative though is that a lot of restaurants, bars and stores... more

This was like my 7th time, I think. I've lost count. Always a great stay with them. upon arrival my room was not ready, instead of waiting for a room to become available, I was upgraded to a suite. I love their suites, they are very roomy, It's like having my own little apartment. Once I got to my suite, I... more

I just got back from a 3 night stay at Pelican Bay with my kids, all over 18. I have stayed at the Westin across the street and while it is an excellent hotel it is a bit too large for my taste. I have stayed at Pelican Bay at least 6 times in the last few years and have... more

Pleasant building, convinient location and well kept rooms. Staff at the hotel were friendly enough but not very efficient. We asked for a quiet room but were given the one next door to the bar and the restaurant. Having complained to the member of customer services we were told not to worry as they will find a more suitable room... more

Pelican Bay was wonderful!! Our faves: great continental breakfast, wonderful view, delicious outdoor restaurant (with THE best Pina Colada!), and 3 awesome pools. My recommendation: if you can afford the upgrade, choose the Grand Suite - it's lovely! The only drawback was there is a basket of snacks we mistakenly thought the lady at the front desk said were included... more

My husband and I were married and honeymooned at the Pelican Bay Memorial Day weekend of this year. Our suite was beautiful, with phenomenal view of the bay. The majority of the staff was extremely friendly and helpful, especially Stanley the bellman! We had one issue that, had it not poured horizontal rain for about 90 minutes, I would be... more

The hotel was very clean and the breakfast was great. The hotel is located in the middle of everything! You can walk across the street to a busy beach or you can take a free ferry ride to a more secluded beach. There was a nice restaurant near one of the pools. It was very romantic. Very good restaurant, although... more

My husband and I visited for our first wedding anniversary in June 2008. On first impressions, the resort itself is stylish in a very simple, understated way (we had looked at booking the Sheraton or the Westin prior to this and overall we think we made the right decision - the reception at the Westin is however far more luxurious... more

We just returned from 11 days at the Pelican Bay! First I start by stating "It's the Bahamas; How bad can it be?" Overall this is a nice property and after looking around the island I can see why it's rated #1. Positive things about the Hotel: Location. Everything is right there! The market place has several very reasonable and... more

Pelican Bay is not under construction. We are, however, adding a conference building on a neighboring piece of land. That effects about 20 rooms; this section has been closed for "normal guests". And, these rooms are not used for any guests who unaware of this situation. We accommodate in these rooms guests associated with the project and some guests who...
