My husband and I just returned from Saint Thomas where we stayed at the Wyndham Sugar Bay Resort and Spa. We read all the reviews and just figured peoples' complaints were because they were being "picky" or "high maintenence" , well we were so wrong. It was so bad. From Rats and cockroaches in the bars and restaraunts to the... more

Before we booked our vacation we long debated between the Wyndhm and the Marriot Frenchman's Reef. We chose the Wyndam because it was cheaper and it didn't seem like there was a big difference between the two, which we later found out to be false. We checked into the Wyndham 9/17/08 and transferred to the Marriott along with at least... more

Let me first just say I already miss St. Thomas, just got back last night and am sitting here at work daydreaming about our vacation. The beaches in St. Thomas and St. John are gorgous. As far as the hotel it was perfect for us as it really was only a jumping point for us to all the great places... more

This is a beautiful hotel/resort just on the outskirts of the main town in St. John, USVI. The rooms are very nice and the grounds well-maintained. There is a wide-open feel to the entire place and it's very calming and relaxed. The staff are all quite nice and a pleasure to work with. The only reason this is not five... more

We only stayed for two days at Sugar Bay on the get up and go voucher 9/6-8/08 before we headed over to the Elysian for 5 more nights.. But we found it to be thoroughly enjoyable. After reading all the reviews about STT from the Tripadvisor forums, we knew the cultural norm was to greet everyone with a good morning,... more

I am going to tell you how it really is at Wyndham Sugarbay St. Thomas. The location makes this hotel one of the best on the Island. The views are amazing. Me and my wife had the full ocean view room (room 234 Frenchmen's bay) the view I had was amazing and was worth the price of the trip. The... more

We went here for our wedding/honeymoon this august. The wedding coordinators were awesome and helped us with anything throughout our entire stay not just that day, they definately went above and beyond. We had an ocean view room that had the best view ever, and when you looked down from our room there were a bunch of pretty trees and... more

We just got back from our honeymoon to Saint Thomas and a stay at the Wyndham. We were met by friendly bellmen at first, but things quickly get cold when you approach the front desk. Front desk staff is rude and not helpful. We were considering upgrading to a suite, but were told by one staff..all rooms are the same.... more

We got a great deal through Cheap Caribbean, and decided not to take the all-inclusive since we rented a car and wanted to try other restaurants. And we tended to prefer the continental breakfast with fresh fruit, so that was less expensive. Having read all the poor comments about the Wyndham I went with an open mind. We had a... more

Let me start by saying I review everything. In fact before this trip I was on Trip Advisor everday to read all the reviews people posted about Wyndham Sugar Bay. Yes we did go during hurricane season and I was skeptical at first, but we stayed for 4 days and 3 out of the 4 were sunny and blue skies.... more
