We stayed at the Breakers when it was the Mermaid Beach Club in 1996. The other reviewer mentions that the rooms were worn out and I have to say that they were worn out back in 1996, so if they haven't done any major renovations since then, I can only imagine how they look now. We rented a one bedroom... more

We had a very pleasant stay at the Mermaid Beach, now the Breakers, however the rooms were old and worn out. Light fixtures were missing in the kitchen area and the AC leaked on the floor. With some tender loving care the Breakers would be a nice inexpensive getaway hotel and priced right. The hotel was called the Mermaid Beach... more
