Well the resort from the pictures looked beautiful and it actually is. The rooms were in great shape and recently renovated. If you are a pool person, you will love this place. They have a huge pool area to sunbath with a swimup bar. The food was good even in the buffets. The drinks were excellent and the waiters were... more

My husbond and I recently returned from a 5 night stay at the Riu Palace Resort in Aruba and I just wanted to let folks know some hints that might make their stay a little more enjoyable! Overall, the resort was great. The grounds are beautiful, the beach is nice - white sand like sugar, beautiful clear turquoise water -... more

Our family stayed at the Riu week of July 20th THE CHECK-IN 1st let me begin by saying it was quick and the room was ready upon arrival but we were given the wrong room. We paid for a Suite w/private Jacuzzi/ocean view and opened the door to find a jr. suite. I then returned to the front desk only... more

We stayed at Riu Palace for eight nights. Everything except the elevators and food was great. The pool and beach were terrific. Everything was clean. The rooms were roomy. Huge disappointment we had was the dinner meals. All restaurants except Krystle were horrible. They did not serve fresh fish. Breakfast was fine. Lunch was so and so. We ended up... more

Just returned home from our week at the RIU (July 27 to August 3). Just as an aside, we are really, really fussy. Not a great way to be, but there you go. It is my understanding that the hotel was only ½ full for the week. I wouldn’t even consider going in high season. We were upgraded to an... more

We've traveled to the Carribean for 15 years and have stayed in many hotels and always gone all-inclusive. The Riu Aruba is the best hotel we have stayed at. Their staff is outstanding, their buffet is equal, and the reservation dinners is very good. The best is the Steak House. You cannot find a better fillet anywhere in the US.... more

We stayed at the Riu Palace in Aruba for our honeymoon in July. Upon arrival everything was absolutely as we had expected- beautiful weather, gorgeous hotel, and an unbelievably friendly staff. We were greeted instantly by a porter who took our bags to our room and a welcome drink! At check-in the staff was really helpful and extremely efficient. The... more
