Agree with some of the other reviewers that £7.20 is far too much to charge for a tour that could be accomplished in 1/2 an hour if you got a move on! Visited the 'castle' with my husband on a day out, we live locally so thought it was about time we got around to visiting Sudeley. The experience we had was disappointing in relation to the cost of the entrance fee (as other reviewers have mentioned). We went on a Sunday which was billed as a Charity Fun Day and they were charging a special price of £11 per adult which included the Fun Day Activities. We went to Sudeley on a day trip from the Broadway area and took the 15 GBP special tour of the house and family apartments. What a lovely place. We visited in March 2008 and were very luck with the weather. The Castle is beautiful and made more so by the backdrop of of some lovely Cotswolds scenary. I agree totally with the review by helenmsutton. There isn't enough here to justify the £7.20 admission rate. On entry you receive a badly photocopied hand drawn map and that is the only information that's provided. You even have to walk across a lawn to follow the route around the gardens. Beautiful gardens and impressive ruins. Catherine Parr, HenryVIII's last wife, lived here. Her tomb is in the lovely chapel. The home has several very interesting exhibits. This was an unplanned side trip, and I'm so very glad we went. Even my husband was impressed. This is one of the castles included in the Great Britain Heritage Pass. . more
